Let us begin by introducing ourselves, our names are Dr. Brian Miller and Dr. Sam Battaglia we are the owners of University Village Chiropractic. We are both licensed Chiropractors serving the Chicago community since 2001. We both graduated from the National University of Health Sciences and are board certified in the state of Illinois. While attending school we both started to realize that our views and desires about Chiropractic and helping people were one in the same. It is rare to find two Dr.'s that have the same method of approach, technique and drive to deliver quality Chiropractic care that we decided to combind our talents and offer them to the community. Upon graduating and becoming board certified we decided to take the next step and open an office that would help the Chicagoland area attain a greater level of health and wellness. Our clinic has been growing strong since we opened our doors in 2001.
Dr. Brian Miller is an east coast native growing up in the Southern New Jersey area. He moved to Chicago to attend Graduate school at the National University of Health Sciences and decided to start his life here as this is one of the greatest cities in the country. His dream of becoming a Chiropractor started at the ripe age of 8 as he was hurt playing football with the older kids. Luckly for him he lived next door to a Chiropractor that has treated his parents for years. After being injured his parents took him to the Chiropractor and after a few treatments he was out playing football again. He made the statement to his parents at only 8 years old that 'This is what I want to do when I grow up'. His path in life has never veered since as he became a chiropractor at the age of 26 and has been living his childhood dream ever since.
Dr.Salvatore (Sam) Battaglia was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He graduated from (1991) Fenwick College Preparatory High School in Oak Park. Dr. Battaglia played hockey and attended school at the College of DuPage for one year. He was then given a hockey scholarship to the University of Arizona in Tucson. After sustaining a shoulder injury in the first season, he sought treatment with the team Chiropractors. Dr. Battaglia was astonished with the expedient results in comparison to teammates who sought care with traditional allopathic medicine with the same injury. As a result. Dr. Battaglia wanted to help people in the same manner and subsequently changed his major to science and graduated with a B.S. degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences. He continued his education at National University of Health Sciences with a B.S. in Human Biology and finally a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree.
